About the Foundation
Welcome to The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation a 501 (c) 3 non-profit foundation.
Our foundation continues Dr. Gonzalez’s belief in a proactive pursuit of vitality and in the body’s natural self-healing ability.
Since 1987 in his private practice in New York City, Dr. Gonzalez provided individualized nutritional regimens for many types of cancer as well as other illnesses such as Lyme, allergies, autoimmune disorders and chronic fatigue.
Nick’s wife, Mary Beth, founded The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation. Our Foundation Board consists of physicians, an award-winning marketer, an educational research professional, successful business executives and devoted patients of Dr. Gonzalez.
We will keep the brilliant, healing work of Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez alive today and for generations to come and invite YOU to join us by becoming part of this movement.
We are designing a training program for practitioners in The Gonzalez Protocol® along with the tools to help them succeed. We are planning scientific studies to further test the protocol and are investigating several contemporary, diagnostic tools to determine metabolic typing for designing customized diet and supplement programs.
For this important work, we seek your support to keep his legacy alive as we strive to spread his work to the international health community and medical schools.
About Mary Beth Gonzalez
Mary Beth Gonzalez is the wife and widow of Dr. Gonzalez. She founded The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation a few months after Dr. Gonzalez died in 2015. Mary Beth proudly carries the torch for her late husband so that Dr. Gonzalez’s legacy of healing through nutrition is accessible to the world. She is motivated by his enduring love for his patients and by her sincere belief in his protocol. The effectiveness of his work confirmed to her repeatedly that this was groundbreaking knowledge that could change the face of modern medicine.
For more than thirty years, Mary Beth has helped New York City-based business to thrive through rapidly changing environments with her own blend of strategy and perseverance, creativity and analysis. Her strengths in driving revenue and brand growth propelled Mary Beth into senior sales and marketing leadership roles at established brands such as Time Inc., NBC Universal, and Univision as well as a few start-up companies. Throughout her career, Mary Beth has developed partnerships and content for several leading health websites. She is a builder of brands and relationships that educate and connect people to products and services that make meaningful differences in their lives.
During their 15 years together, Mary Beth consulted for Dr. Gonzalez on many aspects of his private medical practice. While Dr. Gonzalez was the quarterback, linebacker and defensive end, Mary Beth was the coach. She managed his office staff recruiting, created his lecture presentations, supervised his speaking appearances and oversaw his website development. At conferences, Mary Beth managed Dr. Gonzalez’s book and DVD sales booth and guided people to the published content that best suited their needs. On an informal basis, Dr. Gonzalez and Mary Beth often discussed the importance of sustaining The Gonzalez Protocol® and the business challenges of running a single practitioner office of alternative medicine. It is her love for him and her faith in his brilliance that drives her to ensure that his protocol remains available to all who seek to heal through nutrition. She has been on The Gonzalez Protocol® for preventative health since her third date with Dr. Gonzalez in 2000.
Mary Beth is a cum laude graduate of Middlebury College with a B.A. degree in English and economics. She is the Publisher of New Spring Press and Founder, President and Treasurer of The Nicholas Gonzalez Foundation.
